Athletic Shoes the way to go
According to a study reported on www.realage.com, wearing sneakers or athletic shoes lowered the number of falls for a group of older adults. Those who wore lace-up shoes, heels and other types of shoes fell more often. And those who walked barefoot or in socks had the highest number of falls.
Although the study group was 65+, this is good advice for anyone of any age. Athletic shoes just have more support and provide better balance no matter how old you are.
