Sixty Seconds of History
It’s amazing what you can find on the web when you Google something else. I recently happened upon a U.S. Census Bureau site which allows visitors to listen to a 60 second blurb on a bit of history of the day. (You can also opt to read the text if you don’t want to turn off your recording of Toby Keith to listen. It’s up to you.)
A recent selection was all about the Kentucky Derby, a highpoint of May including some interesting facts you could bring up at lunch today. Visit http://www.census.gov/pubinfo/www/broadcast/radio/profile_america/index.html
