Fooling around the other day with my list of computer programs, I noticed one that called itself Sticky Notes. After clicking on it I found that it does exactly what its name implies: It posts yellow (virtual) notes at the top right-hand corner of my monitor, exactly where I would put the physical kind that I use by the thousands. To add more notes, you just have to click on the plus sign located on a note.
It's an easy way to keep track of your "things to do" while at the computer. But then you actually have to perform the tasks, which no computer program can help with I have found. So far, my three lonely notes have been perched on my computer screen, looking very cute, for several days now. I suppose I will have to finish the chores and move on.
Sticky Notes is a Windows 7 innovation as far as I can tell. For the operating system which gets such a rap from users, it is at least one bright spot.
